Krispy Kreme and Peters Ice Cream team up for new dessert

The doughnuts are available to buy at 7-Eleven and selected Woolworths stores – but the baked treat will only be around for a limited time.

One of the most iconic food collaborations has returned, just five years since it was first introduced to customers.

Krispy Kreme and Peters Ice Cream are bringing back the Maxibon Doughnut after it was introduced in 2018, sending doughnut lovers to the shops to get their hands on it.

The sweet treat features a Krispy Kreme doughnut filled with Maxibon Vanilla Kreme, topped with smooth chocolate coating, hazelnut and vanilla biscuit crumb and a chocolate Maxibon biscuit on top.

When it was first released five years ago, the collaboration drew a lot of attention.

“OMG I want this,” one social media user said, while another joked they’d take four of them.

One commiserated on nothing being able to get their hands on the sweet treat.

But, like with everything in life, not everyone was a fan of the love child of the two iconic brands.

“Sorry but this was horrible! I really wanted to like it but total fail,” one person said.

Andrea Hamori, the head of marketing at Peters Ice Cream said that Maxibon has “always been committed to delivering the ultimate snacking experience”.

The marketing boss from Peters added that the collaboration with Krispy Kreme was taking that commitment to the next level.

“It’s a treat that will make every bite an unforgettable experience, and we are confident that fans of both brands will love this exciting collaboration.”
