How to get free McDonald’s fries this International Fries Day

The fast food giant has partnered with DoorDash to fulfil your potato hankerings this Thursday – but you’ll have to get in quick.

In delicious news for potato fiends everywhere, McDonald’s is giving away its fries for free – for one day only.

To mark International Fries Day on Thursday, July 13, the fast food giant has partnered with delivery platform DoorDash to bring the golden, crunchy side straight to you.

Customers simply need to add a large fries from McDonald’s to their cart and use the code “FREEFRIES” at checkout to claim the offer – as long as their order is placed between midday and 3pm.

All delivery and service fees are also being waived as part of the promotion.

“At DoorDash, we know how much Aussies love Macca’s Fries,” DoorDash Australia and New Zealand general manager, Puji Fernando, said.

“And so we thought what better way to celebrate International Fries Day then give our wonderful customers across the country free fries.”

‘International Fries Day is all about celebrating our delicious fries that have captured the hearts and appetites of people around the globe.’

McDonald’s Australia marketing manager, Tobi Fukushima, echoed the sentiment.

“International Fries Day is all about celebrating our delicious fries that have captured the hearts and appetites of people around the globe,” Mr Fukushima said.

“By partnering with DoorDash, we’re able to deliver our golden, perfectly crispy fries to the homes of our customers, making International Fries Day truly special.”

The offer is valid for the first 15,000 customers only – so you’ll need to be quick.

The deal comes after one TikTok user shared a simple trick for ensuring your fries stay hotter for longer.

Tabby Louise shared you simply need to put some napkins over your chips to cover them and keep them warm while you travel.
