To celebrate its new beer collection, created with BrewDog, Aldi is launching a pop-up bar for one night only, with all money going to charity.

Aldi is hosting a pop-up bar to introduce Aussies to its brand new beer range.

The supermarket has teamed up with BrewDog to launch Special Brews by ALDI, with the pop up bar providing a sneak peek at the IPA range that will be available in stores from December 20.

The beers are available to purchase until stores run out, with a four pack available for $13 at all stores around the country where liquor is sold.

The drink, which is four per cent ABV, has four different types of hops that creates a fruity drink with notes of citrus, toast and stone fruits.

“Special Brews by Aldi and our new, exclusive ALD IPA with BrewDog is a first for Aldi Australia, expanding our award-winning range of beers and showing Aussies that they can enjoy a craft experience without the hefty prices,” Paul Handley, Aldi’s beer expert and buying director, said.

“We are so excited to welcome patrons to this new experience and for Aussies to crack open the new ALD IPA.

“Rest assured, if you have left your Christmas celebration plans to the last minute, Special Brews by Aldi is here to save the day – maybe even the entire silly season. Aussies know Aldi for delivering the best value on everyday groceries, but we’re taking it a step further by delivering a night out in Sydney for under a tenner this holiday season.

“We want to help Aussies come together and celebrate big – so don’t be a Scrooge, shout your mates or colleagues a round of ALD IPA this Christmas and still have enough left in the wallet for the taxi home after.”

Ed Bott, BrewDog Australia’s CEO, said the IPA was created in their Brisbane brewery and while it did have a low price, it was still the same quality fans of the company were used to.

The pop-up bar will be held on December 13 from 3pm at Hotel Sweeney’s in Sydney’s CBD.

Customers can purchase up to three drinks for $3.25, as well as try Aldi’s premium Blackstone Black Edition deli-style chips in Smokey Chorizo and Truffle and Olive Oil on the house.

All proceeds from the event will go to Camp Quality, a charity supporting kids facing cancer and their families.
