$3.50 Kmart item sending social media users wild

Social media users are raving about a Kmart product with a $3.50 price tag, with one fan saying they ‘swore by’ the product.

A Kmart product one mother “swears by” has gripped social media, with many eager to get their hands on it.

Ash, who goes by @KmartAsh on TikTok, took to the platform to share her take on “can toppers”, a nifty drinking tool she had been eyeing off for weeks.

The Kmart utensil attached to the top of a soft drink can and looks exactly like the top half of a bottle. It comes in a four-pack with a retail price of $3.50.

Ash used the cap on a can of Coca-Cola, marvelling over its robust design given she did her best to “shake this bad boy off” and was unable to.

“It didn’t leak when I drank from it, how cool is that,” she said.

While she hand washed the cap for the purpose of the video, she later tested its durability in the dishwasher, revealing it made it through without error.

Ash told followers if it “wasn’t dishwasher safe”, she didn’t want it.

Social media users were impressed by the little tool, with one revealing: “We swear by these in our house with kids! They are fantastic.”

Another said it could be an “awesome” and cost-effective method to keep drinks safe while night clubbing.

“I literally had one on all night outside when I went camping and it was still fizzy in the morning. Sooo good!!! So easy to put on and take off too.” another social media user added.

Others warned there could be downfalls to the product.

“If your drink fizzes up with the lid on tho it will pop off and go flying across the room. I know from experience,” one social media user commented.

Another advised users not to leave the bottle tops on in a hot car.

“The bang is loud,” they said.
