A woman who gained weight during a troublesome relationship revealed how she lost 33 kilograms.
Alana had always been up and down with her weight, saying she was a “chubby kid”. She classifies herself as an “emotional eater”.
“Generally if something is going on in my life, I’m packing it on,” the 28-year-old told news.com.au.
At the end of a longstanding toxic relationship, Alana’s weight got past the point where she felt she could do anything about it. She was ordering Menulog three times a day.
“It was mostly Macca’s. I’d eat a whole dinner box by myself and then get dessert. It was wild,” she said.
“I couldn’t even imagine eating that much now.”
She looked at herself and realised she didn’t feel good about where she was heading. It wasn’t the first time she had been there. Alana went back to Lite N Easy. It had helped her lose weight before. She’d initially discovered it through an advertisement on television.
“I lost 10kg that first time. I tried all these other diets. They worked for a little bit and then it went back to how it was. But I could stick to Lite N Easy,” she said.
Her go to was always the chicken schnitzel. However, she enjoyed how the meals switched up every week. When she first started on her weight loss journey she was on the seven-day meal plan.
Less than a month into starting her diet she started exercising. She started going to personal training a few times a week. The 28-year-old felt like her life suddenly got better overnight.
“I felt so much more confident within myself. I got this amazing job. I have an amazing partner now. I was actually leaving house,” she said.
However, moving an hour away from where she was the moment that all the hard work she was doing had paid off. Everything after that improved dramatically.
“I’m like a new person,” she said.
Alana has lost 33kg all up. She still eats Lite N Easy dinners, mostly out of convenience. She’s still exercising but has mostly ditched personal training. She said she felt like she was given the blue print to be able to make choices about her diet and exercise.
