‘Cocaine Cassie’ Sainsbury reveals new look in Instagram photos with new fiancee
“Cocaine Cassie” Sainsbury has revealed a new look in several New Year’s Eve Instagram posts with her new fiancee Tatiana.
“Cocaine Cassie” Sainsbury has revealed her drastic post-jail transformation via a series of Instagram posts.
The Aussie has lost a staggering 29kg since she was first imprisoned after being busted smuggling almost 6kg of cocaine into Colombia in April 2017, and 12kg since leaving prison in April 2020.
She has also got multiple tattoos since her release.
The 26-year-old remains on parole for the remainder of her sentence, which means she is unable to leave Colombia.
She is now based in capital city Bogota with new fiancee, Tatiana.
Sainsbury rang in the New Year with her partner, posting photos of the pair on social media.
The couple plan to tie the knot in March, and divide their time between Australia and Colombia once Sainsbury is permitted to leave the South American nation from May onwards, when her sentence expires.
Sainsbury split from prison fiancee Joli Pico after she was released from jail in early 2020, claiming her former fiancee had ended up “being with someone else”.
She announced details of her new relationship in July last year, telling the Daily Mail at the time that her new partner was a computer technician who was unaware of her notoriety back home.
“She doesn’t know to the extent that I’m quite well known back in Australia,” Sainsbury told the publication of her then-unnamed new lover.
“But here they don’t understand that kind of (fame). In Colombia there’s so much of it (cocaine smuggling).”
Sainsbury has claimed she was “forced” to smuggle drugs by a mystery international drugs syndicate which threatened to harm her and her family if she did not comply.
After her release from jail last year, she told 60 Minutes she had been sexually assaulted by a 39-year-old Brazilian drug dealer named “Angelo” in the days before she was arrested.
Sainsbury has never been able to provide evidence for her claims and has said she has forgotten the password to her phone, which contains material to support her allegations.
