Fitness fanatics are booking into active photoshoot parties complete with hair and makeup styling, a wardrobe of activewear to model and organised photo stations in the quest for the perfect workout image to post on their social media profile.
Louise Hanisch, a marketing executive and group fitness instructor from Coogee, is the woman behind So Snapped which hosts the themed fitness events for up to eight fitness addicts at a time.
The 33-year-old says her main clients are exercise and dance instructors, gym junkies, and bikini and bodybuilding competitors who want images for their portfolios.
“There is definitely a skew towards Instagram,” Hanisch told The Daily Telegraph.
The yoga, dance or bootcamp exercise shoot lasts up to four hours and includes ten photographs of participants working out at a cost of $250 per session.
Hanisch launched the business in March after she was unable to find a photographer she felt comfortable with to take fitness photos of her.
“Not everyone has a partner or friend who is happy to follow them around and take photographs of them exercising,” she said.
“So Snapped goes beyond the gym selfie, this is giving exercise its own space and gives people the chance to create professional content, look good and have fun while doing it.”
