Paulina Porizkova, 54, appears topless in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019
Paulina Porizkova, 54, has wowed fans with a jaw-dropping snap wearing only tiny string undies for the iconic Sports Illustrated magazine.
A 54-year-old model has posed topless in a skimpy bikini for the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine — 30 years after she first posed for them.
Paulina Porizkova, a Czech-born mother-of-two and grandma, made her debut in the annual special in 1983, aged 17.
She went on to appear in the publication seven more times over the next three decades, including one cover shot, before posing without her bra for the latest edition, out in May.
After Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shared the photo on their Instagram, fans went crazy, with many declaring the gorgeous gran “timeless”.
“I remember Pauline from the 80s and she’s only gotten more beautiful,” one fan wrote.
“Timeless and flawless,” another said.
“Pauline at 54 is giving me life,” someone else said.
While others agreed she looked “amazing” — with one adding she was “ageless”.
“She is stunning for a grandma,” another mused.
Even Paulina is happy with the shoot, telling Sports Illustrated: “I look good for 54.”
The images — which feature the supermodel posing topless on a beach wearing string bikini bottoms and holding a large floppy hat — have also proudly not been edited, something Paulina said she was nervous about at first.
However, fans have nothing but praise for the “real” decision, and the magazine has described her as “never looking better”.
“These girls today need to see what a “real” woman looks like! Nothing fake here! #fiftyisthenew30!” one delighted fan wrote.
“This is SOOO awesome,” another said.
In a separate post on her own Instagram account about the upcoming Swimsuit issue, the grandma declared “sexy has no age limit” — a statement fans also adored.
“Paulina, you look amazingly beautiful I do enjoy your posts and how humble you are!” one person said.
“50s are the new 30s. That’s how I look at it. You look awesome!” another declared.
Another person wrote: “You are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you sharing your expertise and beauty with us.”
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editor MJ Day also praised Paulina and her commitment to ageing naturally, telling Good Morning America: “She’s outspoken and honest and she really is an advocate for ageism, which I think is a really important topic to address … Because beauty doesn’t end at 30. Beauty doesn’t end at 40.”
Paulina, is no stranger to stripping off, with her Instagram feed regularly filled with racy shots of her in bikinis.
The same issue of Sports Illustrated hit the headlines yesterday for its history-making decision to feature a model wearing a hijab and burkini in it this year.
Muslim model Halima Aden has been featured wearing designer burkinis, hijabs and head scarfs, something that has never happened previously in the magazine.
