The fitness guru has amassed 4 million followers on the social media site and ranked at number six on the most liked picture list of 2015 with 147,000 likes.

She is among big ticket celebrities including Iggy Azalea and Ruby Rose to have earned a top spot on the platform, according to Instagram data.

Itsines is firm that she never wants to pose in a bikini and instead opts for a sports bra and shorts for professional shoots.

“When I said I didn’t want to do a photoshoot in a bikini, I thought I would get an email back saying “shoot cancelled”, but instead, I was made to feel more than comfortable. I was able to do my pool shots in a sports bra and shorts!“ she wrote on Instagram.

“I don’t know what it is about posing in a bikini... I have absolutely nothing against other people doing it. I feel confident in my body, I take photos of myself in a bikini on holidays — but having other people take professional photos of me, it’s just not ME.

“I’m so happy to work with amazing understanding women who make me feel comfortable. I always make sure that I stick to my morals and never do anything that I don’t feel comfortable with or don’t believe in!

Itsines is also the founder of a fitness app called Kayla Itsines, attracting thousands of people to her mass outdoor workout sessions.

“How good is this photo!?“ she wrote on Instagram.

“I could look at these forever !! Can’t wait to do this all over again in 2016.”

Flaunting her enviable figure, Itsines also posts satirical memes as well as promotes fresh food.

“Mangoooooooo!!! Can’t wait to see all my Sydney girls tomorrow,” she captioned a picture.
