WHEN Laura Dundovic was in the jungle for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, living on rice and beans and maggots, she lost 5.5 kilograms. How did she intend to put that weight back on? Easter eggs.

Yep, our favourite 27-year-old model even dreamt about Easter eggs during her two week stay in South Africa.

“The whole time I was in the jungle I was like, I’m going to get Easter eggs. As soon as I get out, that’s what I’m going to eat,” Dundovic told news.com.au.

“Everyone else was all like, ‘You won’t be able to find them anywhere, pick something else,’ but you can spend the whole year on Easter eggs if you plan it right! They do a version of them at Christmas, at Valentine’s Day ... I mean, they start stocking them in December pretty much anyway. So it was fun putting all that weight back on let me tell you!”

It’s clear that whatever she’s doing post-jungle is working, and Dundovic is looking better than ever. Easter eggs aside, she told news.com.au that she always tries “to eat as clean as possible,

“I love things like roasted vegetables, stir fries, and a lot of my flavouring I do with olive oil, garlic, herbs and spices rather than sauces.

“With work I do a lot of socialising, and I like to go out and enjoy whatever it is my friends are eating, so I am not too hard on myself.”

Dundovic’s approach to exercise is similar, but she found she had lost a lot of her strength over the time she spent on I’m A Celebrity.

“I’m lucky that I’ve got good cardio strength but I didn’t have any weights at all in the jungle, and so I’m still getting that strength back,” she explains, before adding that when it comes to exercise, anything that keeps her active goes.

“For me when it comes to training I like to try and mix it up. I always do a little bit of everything — a lot of cardio, I might go for a run on the beach and come back and do an abs and butt workout, I mix it up with yoga too. It really just depends on how much time I have, and I exercise every day if I can!

“With me for training I obviously love the physical side, but my main motivation is the mental side. I like how I feel after I exercise, I’m in a better mood, and it keeps me happy,” she explains.

Dundovic has just signed on as an ambassador for Australia’s first Nike+Training Club Tour. She, along with Kirsty Godso, Stef De Castro, Phoebe Di Tommaso, Bec Wilcock and Kyah Simon, will lead 2,500 women in a five hour workout challenge in Sydney on May 2. The day will combine studio workouts, high-intensity training and yoga with massages, beauty treatments and sneak peeks at Nike’s upcoming activewear lines.

“I love meeting people who love exercise,” Dundovic says. “I enjoy exercising on my own but when I exercise with friends I exercise more. You all push each other and agree to train together and work harder I think. You always feel fantastic after you finish something like that so I’m looking forward to it.”
