Kate Beckinsale shares unusual diet behind super-toned figure

Actress Kate Beckinsale, 46, has revealed the secret to her enviable six-pack in Women’s Health — and boy does it sound tough.

Kate Beckinsale has showed off her killer abs while gracing the cover of Women’s Health magazine.

The 46-year-old looked sensational as she flaunted her toned figure for the glossy magazine shoot.

However her impressive physique definitely didn’t come easy, with the actress revealing her intense workout and the extreme diet she follows.

The Underworld star consumes protein in the form of “chicken or eggs with grass-fed butter” before she even works out — and later in the day, she typically eats salmon and salads with radishes, brussels sprouts, and safflower oil.

When she’s feeling naughty she treats herself to the “occasional” handful of potato chips and revealed she never drinks alcohol. Ever.

She also restricts her caffeine to zero too and the same with chocolate.

In fact, she said she’s so sensitive to stimulants, she gets severe side effects.

“I think some people’s systems are just a bit sensitive to things. If you told me you had nausea yesterday, I might start throwing up myself,” Kate told Women’s Health.

“If I ate too much dark chocolate, it would be like someone else taking cocaine,” she told the publication.

Her strict routine however has sculpted her incredibly fit figure, that the brunette modelled in a pair of boxing gloves and a yellow crop top.

In another shot, she powerfully punches towards the camera in a white two-piece.

Kate maintains her figure by working out six mornings a week with trainer Brad Siskind of Gunnar Peterson’s gym, often showing off her crazy workouts on Instagram.

“Now exercise is almost more important to me moodwise. The other aspects feel like a great side effect.”

And when it comes to her love life, the Pearl Harbor actor insists it takes a lot to live with a partner.

The star, who was once married to Michael Sheen, has previously been linked to Pete Davidson and David Walliams.

“I think more people would do well married if they didn’t have to live in the same house,” she said.

“Being married is kind of easy, but the living-with-the-person thing is a lot.

“I also think that for women especially – and this is generalising – but I think it’s common for us to mentally subjugate our needs to whoever else is in the room.

“So if you’ve got a husband, a boyfriend, kids, or parents, it’s so easy to come in with an idea of what you’d like to do and then end up going, ‘Oh no, no, no, it’s fine’. And it’s quite nice to not always have to negotiate that.”

Kate – who has a 20-year-old daughter called Lily – loves to flaunt her gym efforts on her social media accounts too, sharing racy bikini snaps with fans.

The star previously posted a video of her perfecting her squats in the gym, while in a separate post she flipped a 68kg weight.
