Husband of Tess Holliday hits back: ‘Congrats on successfully exploiting the mother of my child’
NICK Holliday, the husband of plus-size model Tess Holliday, has come out swinging after fitness guru Ashy Bines criticised his wife.
THE husband of American plus-size model Tess Holliday has hit out at fitness guru Ashy Bines for criticising his wife’s health and the wellbeing of their unborn child.
Australian artist Nick Holliday, who met Holliday through Tumblr in 2012 and proposed to her two years later, slammed the popular Australian instagrammer overnight, sarcastically congratulating her for “successfully exploiting the mother of my child” and for “not caring about [Tess] at all”.
@AshyBines Congrats on successfully explioting the mother of my child to try to appear like you're relevant but lets talk some actual facts:

First lets dispense with the tone of concern, you donât care about her at all.

Just like you don't care about the people to whom you sell (mostly bad, sometimes plagiarized) diet advice.

Holliday’s Twitter tirade came off the back of Bines’controversial social media post on Monday night, where she took to Instagram and Facebook comparing the “health” of fuller-figured Holliday to that of a deceased anorexic model.
The post, which labelled Holliday as not a “good role model for young girls” and a “healthy body image that should not be applauded” received more than 13,000 likes on Instagram and was shared almost 700 times on Facebook.
Although the post received a mixed response, those who were negative or nasty towards Bines were either blocked or removed.
The 27-year-old fitness model then released a 30-minute video on Facebook, which was live streamed by more than 3700 viewers, addressing the subject of Holliday’s weight and health, saying that it was a “touchy” subject but an area she ”wanted to talk about for a long time”.
Bines also commented on Holliday as a role model to her children, and raised concern over the heath and wellbeing of her unborn child.
Mr Holliday criticised Bines for including an image of deceased Brazilian model, Ana Carolina Reston, in her social media post.
Reston died in 2006 of reported kidney failure, after battling anorexia.
Just like you really donât care about exploiting the other person in your image who passed away.

Secondly â you contradict yourself; either sheâs an overeater or sheâs not getting enough nutrients for the baby. Which is it?

Mr Holliday also slammed Bines for making comments on his wife’s health when Bines is “not a doctor”.
“You’re not HER doctor,” he wrote. “You can tell precisely f**k all about a persons health by looking at them.”
I would also like to add we were both blocked by her pre-emptively which say a lot about her motives.

Both Nick and Tess Holliday have reportedly been blocked by Bines from her social media channels.
Tess Holliday, for the first time since Bines took to social media, has said she will not be changing who she is, and has no interest in looking like the cover of a women’s fitness magazine.
“Oh no, a fitness instagramer doesn’t like me because I’m fat & a bad ‘role model’,” Mrs Holliday posted.
“I’m gonna go change who I am entirely to please her & fit into societies f**ked up reality of ‘beauty’ right away ... Said no one ever.
“It’s 2016 mate, some people don’t want to (or can’t) look like the cover of women’s fitness. Get over it,” she ended.
Her post has since received more than 36,000 likes on Facebook and more than 1600 shares.
