The popular fitness model took to her Instagram to share a “real life” image of her body — after giving birth just over a year ago.

She’s one of Australia’s most popular fitness models with more than 2.5 million Instagram followers — and part of the reason for her huge success and following is because of her brutal honesty.

The 33-year-old blogger isn’t one to sugar coat. She regularly posts images showing off her loose skin nearly one-and-a-half years after giving birth.

Fans thanked the Gold Coast local this morning after she shared yet another brave comparison image of her clearly visible abs and another of her “wrinkly tummy”.

She captioned it, “Real life”.

Skye noted there were lots of images circulating on social media showing “real life” compared to “Instagram”, which she loved.

She said while it was great to see so many people jumping on board and showing their followers content like this, her post wasn’t about Instagram versus real life.

“Both of these photos are ‘real life’ — just because you take a ‘nice’ photo with good posture or good lighting doesn’t mean it’s not real life — it’s just a part of yourself or your life that you’ve chosen to show,” Skye said alongside the image.

“So here are a couple of pics showing me standing without my wrinkly tummy skin visible and with it visible.”

Skye, who gave birth to her baby girl Mia Elise Redmond in December 2018, went on to say she loves herself irrespective of having wrinkly skin or not.

“I feel confident either way. This is why I choose to wear tops to show my belly! I’m proud of my body and what it’s capable of,” she said.

Last year, the fitness blogger and mother-of-one revealed she’d received negative messages from “haters” telling her she should edit her loose belly skin and stretchmarks out of the snaps she shared — the images were 12 months after she gave birth to Mia.

The mother-of-one said it took her years to be confident and comfortable in her own skin.

“Some people would say things like, ‘You still got skin on your belly, you should Photoshop that out’, or comment about my stretchmarks,” she told news.com.au at the time.

But she has continued to purposely post photos showing her flaws to prove no one is perfect — not even social media influencers.

“It took me many years to be confident and comfortable in my own skin, and I still have moments when I’m not, but most of the time I am,” Skye said. “Remember that everyone has insecurities no matter WHO they are. You might look at someone and think they’re ‘perfect’ but that doesn’t mean they’re confident.”
