JUST in case you were feeling slightly too confident about your physical appearance, we bring you these pictures of Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth splashing about on the beach in Byron Bay.

These pictures came through on the media wire and everyone in our office took a minute’s silence to appreciate the blinding beauty of this pair of actors.

If anyone else wore a trucker-style cap with that swimsuit and a bunch of gold bling it’d probably look a little “trailer trash goes to the seaside”. But Pataky looks like a goddamn goddess in leopard print.

The paparazzi’s explanation for the photos was quite pleasing:

“Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky and their children have a family fun day at the beach in Byron Bay. Chris shows off his ripped body as he surfs with his kids. Elsa flaunts her fit physique in a sultry leopard one piece as she shares some sweet moments with her beau Chris.”

It’s like something out of a delightful story book.

While the photos indicate the genetically blessed pair don’t have a care in the world, there has been a bit of tension in Byron Bay lately.

Earlier this month we reported that the couple’s $9m mega-mansion is dividing locals.

The Hemsworths are planning on converting the already luxurious eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom retreat into a development worth $20 million, with a media room, games room, vast outdoor living and play areas and six bedrooms.

Local have been up in arms over not just the sprawling construction but what it might do to their beloved laid-back Byron.

Taking to social media last month, hundreds of locals debated whether Hemsworth should be able to spend his $60 million, his reported value in the Forbes’ 2018 Rich List, as he sees fit.

Local Luke Jolly, whose dad also lives on Seven Mile Beach Rd, said the construction was taking “forever”.

“They’ve been building forever and it can get noisy but neither (my dad) nor I have a problem with it. The bloke is successful, I think he deserves everything he’s got,” Mr Jolly said.

A development application for the knockdown-rebuild was first lodged with Byron Shire Council in November 2016 and approved in March 2017.

Other locals suggested their experience with the council hadn’t run as smoothly as the six months Hemsworth waited for an approval.

“It’s obscene, greedy, flashy, vulgar opulence at its finest and has no place in the Byron I once knew and love. A sad sign of things to come due to greedy, unfettered development policy,” Georgie Poppins wrote.

Another local said the mansion looked like “a Westfield had been Photoshopped into the photo”.
