A CANCER awareness campaign launched in Norway has found international fame thanks to it’s sexy approach to recovery.

The stars of the Aktiv Against Cancer campaign are real-life cancer patients, who endured weeks of training and choreography lessons before performing their own interpretation of Eric Prydz’s Call on me music video.

Complete with saucy dance moves, close up shots of scars and even a love affair, the video aims to highlight that physical activity is a necessary part of cancer treatment because of what it does “to body and mind. Research shows that cancer patients benefit from physical activity both in their treatment and rehabilitation process.

“We believe in confidence. That's why we set out to remake one of the most daring music videos ever, starring cancer patients. We did this to raise awareness. We did this to prove that cancer doesn’t have to kill your confidence.”

“It’s difficult to be confident without your hair, eyebrows and a weird looking chest,” one woman is seen saying in the behind the scenes video. “So it’s been liberating to be in the spotlight. It feels fantastic.”

“It’s about time we changed the perception of a cancer patient,” says another.
