Bikini designer, Karina Irby, 29, shows off her six-year transformation

Aussie bikini designer Karina Irby has shared revealing pictures with her one million followers of her six-year body transformation.

Have these outrageous bikini trends gone too far?

Aussie influencer Karina Irby has taken to Instagram with a before and after photo revealing how far she has come both physically and mentally.

The 29-year-old, who hails from the Gold Coast, shared two bikini images of herself taken six years apart.

“It’s crazy to think that my mindset, goals, business and priorities have developed more than my actual physical body,” she said in the caption.

“I celebrate my mind and body everyday. I’m proud of what I have achieved both physically and mentally,” Irby continued, adding that she feels a lot happier, healthier and carefree.

Irby, who is the owner of swimwear label Moana Bikini, went on to say that her body and business has never received any injection of money from outside to help it grow.

“It’s grown strongly and organically with lots of love and hard work.”

The post, which she shared on Tuesday with her one million followers, has been inundated with thousands of comments from fans describing her transformation as “amazing” thanking her for the inspiration.

“You’ve given me so much confidence in my own body that I’ve hated for so long. I still struggle. But your positive outlook has helped a lot!!” one follower wrote.

“The right looks so much healthier. You‘re beautiful!” another said, while a third person added, “fit, healthy and banging”.

Irby is wearing her own bikini range in both photos that were taken six years apart.

“I remember buying my first moana bikini like 7 years ago. You’ve become such a inspirational person,” another fan said, to which Irby pointed out that “even my designs have transformed”.

With a passion for body positivity and inclusiveness, Irby has always been candid about her own body, sharing everything from weight gain to bloating and her eczema, with her followers.

“Keep in mind everybody is different so please don’t judge your own bodies reactions on someone else’s,” she said in a recent post showcasing her bloating issues.

“But this is just a funny little reminder to not be hard on yourself if your tummy decides to puff up!”

WORKOUTS

The 29-year-old, who has admitted to not “eating right” or taking care of her body in the past, is also known for sharing workout videos from cardio to strength-based training.

“Yes I’ve gained weight, both fat and muscle but I’m now training four times a week and eating for my body. It’s crazy what eating and weights can do,” she said in 2018 when taking up strength training.

While she has a strong and supportive social media following, the bikini designer was forced to hit back at claims the unedited photos she posts on Instagram are “fake” and don’t show the real her.

In January, Irby revealed that she had been targeted by an online forum where a “posed photo” had been compared with a “candid raw video screenshot”.

“They did this to try and portray me as some fake girl on the internet. LOL,” Irby wrote in a post at the time.

“No no. I’m real! And I’m sorry I’m not walking around holding my sh*t together and posing at anyone who looks at me from any angle. Although, that would be a GREAT workout.”

To get back at the cruel claims, Irby said she decided to “redo their work, but do it better” by sharing a posed photo of herself in the same bikini from the video.

“Considering the mass amount of raw video/photo content I have on the internet, I think it’s pretty clear what I look like. I’m not fooling anyone, I can’t be bothered trying,” she said.

Her fans were quick to jump to her defence, writing in the comments that “haters are going to hate”.

Following her bikini label success, Irby is now also the co-founder of the Bikini Body Burn movement, which she recently launched with her personal trainer, Simon McDermott.

‘FIVE HOUR TRANSFORMATION’

Irby won praise earlier this year when she shared photos of her “transformation” over the space of a night.

Sharing side-by-side photos of herself, Irby wrote in the caption how she started off “looking a treat” but by the end of the night looked “six months pregnant”.

“This is from sitting in the car for 3+ hours in Spanx, drinking way too many bottles of water because I was so hungry, and then eating too much Japanese food from accidentally starving myself,” she wrote on the post.

“Oh and within an hour or so of getting home, relaxing and taking off those tight clothes my tummy was normal again.

“It’s crazy how the bodywork.”

The bikini designer said her post was just a “funny little reminder” to go easy on yourself if you’re confronted with a bloated belly.
