Model and The Block winner Elyse Knowles shares her Seafolly campaign workout diary
AUSSIE model and The Block winner Elyse Knowles prepared for a sizzling photoshoot as the new face of Seafolly with an insane workout.
MODEL Elyse Knowles, who won last year’s season of The Block with partner Josh Barker, has just landed a major deal as the face of swimwear label Seafolly.
“Dreams do come true! I am literally bouncing out of my seat to be able to finally share the news that I am the new face of Seafolly Australia,” Knowles wrote on Instagram earlier this month. “I couldn’t be more honoured and appreciative of this incredible opportunity.”

The 25-year-old looks absolutely incredible in the campaign photos, which were shot on Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
But for us mere mortals, it’s nice to reassure ourselves with the knowledge that Knowles pushed her body to its limit in order to look this good in a bikini for her photo shoot.
On Thursday, Knowles shared the intense workout regimen she put her body through in the lead-up to the photo shoot.
“When I find out I’ve booked a big gig, the first thing I do is sit down and plan out a ‘health kick’. It’s not about losing weight — it’s about toning up and feeling my best,” Knowles wrote on her blog.
“I was training heaps in the lead-up to Seafolly. Up to two to three times a day on occasions. From HITT classes, to weight classes, to long and brisk walks with my puppy.
“When I was training, I would say to myself, ‘SEAFOLLY, SEAFOLLY!’ This little chant kept me strong and focused during each session. When I thought I couldn’t go any harder, I’d picture the years of hard work to get myself here and just keep on pushing. Your body can do amazing things when you set your mind to something,” she wrote.
She admitted she pushed her body hard in order to achieve these results.
“Towards the end, right before the shoot I started to feel quite exhausted. I always listen to my body, 100 per cent of the time. So when the fatigue hit, I slowed it down quite a lot,” she wrote.
“There is no point getting this far and then burning out. Your health needs to come first always. No ifs or buts … No excuses. Keep in mind though, this is NOT my usual weekly workout. This baby is for campaign prep! She’s a toughie!”
This is her weekly workout routine, which includes one rest day on Sundays.

In terms of diet, she stuck to her usual healthy meals but completely cut out sugar.
“When it comes to my preparation diet, I stick with high-protein foods, lots of natural fats, a tonne of vegies and a little fruit. The hardest thing for me is cutting out sugar. I have a major sweet tooth!” she wrote.
“Normally I am pretty good to myself and don’t deny myself a treat here and there ... but when it comes to training for a shoot, I cut it all out. I want to get to the end of the job knowing I’ve given it my absolute all — so a short-term challenge is worth it!”
Knowles and her partner Josh Barker quickly became fan favourites on last year’s season of The Block.
They’ve also become mini property moguls, selling their winning house to comedian Dave Hughes for $3.067 million and their own home in Melbourne’s Coburg for $1.631 million.
As well as landing the Seafolly contract, Knowles has endorsement deals with Myer, Bras N Things and greens supplement Vital Everyday.
