Urban Runway: Caribbean chic with a hot bikini

FASHION buyer Audrey Challe’s style is reminiscent of her Carribean roots and the perfect summer uniform for living and working in the Bondi area.

PERHAPS it’s her Caribbean roots but Audrey Challe’s summer workday uniform usually starts with a bikini.

The 27-year-old, who moved from the idyllic island of Martinique to Sydney three years ago, said sunglasses, espadrille shoes, sunscreen, a small “pochette” bag and a swimsuit were her summer essentials and always came in handy when she took a dip at Bondi Beach after work.

Ms Challe’s khaki green top and ecru-coloured shorts looked great against her tanned skin and contrasted with the pops of turquoise on her espadrilles and pouch.

While office workers couldn’t get away with this on a weekday, it’s a great off-duty look and perfect to laze around in on a long weekend.

“I love Australia in summer, it’s the best place ever,” she said.

The fashion buyer recently launched her own online clothing store but said she liked scouring stores around Sydney for great style finds as well as the web.

“I like to go to little boho stores, my style is very boho,” she said.

From the Carribean island of Martinique, Audrey Challe has brought her easygoing style to Sydney.
