Sylvia Jeffreys crowned ‘best dressed’ on social media

Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have tied the knot in a lavish ceremony — but there was one big question on everyone’s lips.

All eyes may have been on Jasmine Yarbrough today, but one wedding guest very nearly stole the show with her own eye-catching frock.

Fans were in a frenzy this weekend as Today host Karl Stefanovic and designer Jasmine Yarbrough’s wedding got underway in Mexico, with a slew of Aussie celebrities turning up for the big day.

But as Australians pored over pictures of the lavish event on social media, one guest emerged as the unofficial “best dressed” on the day.

That title belongs to Karl’s Today co-star and sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys, who is married to Peter Stefanovic.

After sharing a snap of herself and her hubby on Instagram, fans went into meltdown, with many demanding to know where the vibrant dress was from.

“I am obsessed with your dress! Happy to accept it if you ever want to hand it down!” one Instagram user wrote, while another posted: “Where is that gorgeous dress from?”

“A stunning couple, you have stolen the show, your dress is absolutely fabulous …” another posted, while another fan simply wrote: “this dress is everything”.

But now, the mystery is over — it turns out the dress was by Brazilian model-turned designer Raquel Diniz.

The label has been a hit with bloggers, editors and It-girls since launching in 2016, with Raquel Diniz pieces spotted on red carpet events as well as celebrity weddings including the Stefanovics’.

Sylvia Jeffreys was one of around 200 guests who joined the happy couple for their destination wedding at the One&Only Chapel at Palmilla resort in El Cabos in Mexico.

Other celebrity guests included former My Kitchen Rules contestant Della Muscat, Richard Wilkins’ son Christian, British TV presenter and fashion blogger Louise Roe and model Montana Cox and even Julie Bishop.

However, there were also a few high-profile no shows including James Packer, Kyle Sandilands and Alan Jones.

Ms Yarbrough’s seven bridesmaids wore floor-length black gowns by Rachel Gilbert while the groom wore a suit by Tom Ford.

Raquel Diniz studied at Milan’s Istituto Marangoni fashion school and spent several years creating custom items for select clients before branching out into her own label.
