The dress Buddy thought was ‘a bit much’

JESINTA Campbell was the talk of the Logies red carpet in her bold frock, but her fiance thought it was “a bit much”.

JESINTA Campbell turned heads on the Logies red carpet in her barely-there dress. But there was one person who wasn’t a fan of the look — her fiance, AFL star Lance “Buddy” Franklin.

The model and David Jones ambassador was a guest at the Logies wearing a green Camilla & Marc creation that featured a simple bodysuit with a wide-webbed, long sleeve dress that was belted at the waist with patent leather.

“Buddy said he thought this was, in his words ‘a bit much’,” the 24-year-old joked on the red carpet at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.

“I think he would prefer me to be fully covered from head to toe but he is always so encouraging and he Face-timed me before I walked the red carpet, which is lovely.”

Jesinta said she loves the Sydney-based duo who created the outfit and had seen the design in a shorter version before asking the designer to make it into a longer, ‘Logies version’.

“I absolutely love those two,” she commented.

“I saw this in black in a shorter version and I said can we please do this for Logies. She [Camilla] sourced this fabric in Paris actually and it never got made into anything, so I feel really special tonight.”

Jesinta works with her sister, stylist Aleysha Campbell, and says her glam squad is like family to here.

“I have my sister who is my stylist and she is really hands-on with it all, and I really lean on her when it comes to styling me and making the choices on the details,” she said.
