All the dresses from the Dally M Awards red carpet
AT THE Dally M’s, buff NRL stars in suits won medals for being really good at footy. But these awards were all about the dresses.
WELCOME to the Dally M Awards, the NRL’s night of nights.
So some buff blokes in suits won medals for playing footy. But let’s be honest, what we’re really here for are the dresses.
(If you’re interested in the footy stuff, here’s where you need to be).
The wives and girlfriends of NRL’s best players spent the afternoon dolling themselves up in preparation for the red carpet, while their partners took 15 minutes to have a shower and a shave and quickly slipped into a suit. Or popped on a headband, like this legend.
Shoe designer Terry Biviano, wife of former Roosters’ star Anthony Minichiello, always kills and she poured her insane figure into this green body con dress.
Clearly, she just walked into the salon and told the lady, “I need a tan, immediately.” RIP Terry’s white linen bed sheets.
Writer Phoebe Burgess and wife of Rabbitoh’s star Sam Burgess looked amazing in Alex Perry. She is currently pregnant but you wouldn’t even know it. Her baby bump is what my stomach looks like after lunch #depressing.
Phoebe posted this cute snap of the couple on their way to the awards.
If you’re looking for a reason to do a pump class tomorrow, take a look at supermodel Elyse Knowles. Her pink gown is by Cappellazzo Couture. Her body is by tricep dips.
Some more tricep #inspo from Fox News presenter Louise Ransome. Good luck not spilling anything on that gown babe.
Fashion blogger Kayla Boyd was on red carpet reporting duties for Fox Sports.
The wife of Bronco’s fullback Darius Boyd rocked two trends at once - off-the-shoulder and bell sleeves - in this shimmery number.
She’s giving off some strong mermaid vibes here and we’re loving it.
Former Miss Universe Australia Tegan Martin looked amazing in this pale pink flowy number.
Some lazy gentlemen will inevitably be drawn towards her chest, but I can’t take my eyes off those fabulous tassel sleeves.
Kara Ryan, hair and makeup artist and wife of Sharks star Beau Ryan, looks so elegant in this beautiful black dress. Also love it when a woman rocks a glamorous ponytail on the red carpet.
Here’s another semi-mermaid moment. This is Jess Maloney, wife of Cronulla Sharks’ James Maloney. She looks so serene for a woman who has spent all week living with a man about to compete in a grand final.
Channel Seven sports presenter Mel McLaughlin should do us all a favour and hand out the number of her hairdresser, because that blow dry is fresh.
Fox Sports presenter Tara Rushton, girlfriend of Melbourne Storm halfback Cooper Cronk, looks stunning in this white gown. It’s made out a super cool meshy fabric. Love that she paired it with a dark lip.
Channel Nine sports presenter Erin Molan looks awesome in this deep red crop and skirt combo.
The off-the-shoulder trend featuring heavily here. Case in point: Ana James, wife of Gold Coast Titans’ Ryan James, wearing a gown by Grace Loves Lace.
Tiana Faapoi and her partner Joey Leilua, who plays for the Raiders, went all match-matchy. Super cute.
And artist Nicole Slater, wife of Billy Slater, designed her own dress especially for the awards. On Instagram she revealed her shoes are from Target, she did her own nails and her husband helped apply her fake tan.
