Owned by their outfit: the biggest red carpet fails of 2013 (so far)
CELEBRITIES: We love to love them, love to hate them, love to watch them strut the red carpet and love them even more when we can spot their imperfections.
CELEBRITIES: We love to love them, love to hate them, love to spot their imperfections.
And we love to see confirmation that money doesn't always buy perfect style.
It's a rare woman who has the guts to show off her figure in a skin-tight wetsuit while brushing up against some of Hollywood's most polished and stick-figure-thin personalities.
2013's biggest fashion gaffes (so far)
So we love Rebel Wilson and her brand of offbeat, non-cookie-cutter brand of humour.
Her appearance at this week's Teen Choice Awards cemented her spot on Hollywood's funny-woman list.
Wilson barely batted an eyelid on the red carpet, even collecting her own surfboard prize (keeping censors on their toes), thus completing the look.
The girl obviously has forethought.
While Wilson's look may not have been everyone's cup of tea, it showed that if you're going to successfully pull off a look, you've got to own it.
In honour of the Aussie star's hilariously brave turn on the red carpet we've gathered the best (or worst) pics of those who haven't quite owned their look this year.
Instead the dress - or lacktherof - has owned them.
First up, we've got Madonna.
While we love that she's brave with her fashion choices and isn't afraid of showing off a body that she's spent a long time perfecting - isn't it time to put that booty away and potentially cover up some skin? We'd love you all the more for it, Madge.
Eva Longoria
Proving that she's not just a pretty face, stepping up last year to help elect a US president, this pint-sized bombshell seems to be taking her stylist's word a little too much to heart with these risky choices. The moral of the story is, make sure you feel comfortable in your couture. If not, just make sure you've got on your best undies.
Jennifer Aniston
Okay Jen, we'll try to stop saying you look good for your age. But in return, you've got to stop shoving your alternative-themed, clean-living wholistic lifestyle in our faces. Or even just don't go strapless after cupping therapy - no matter how good your shoulders look right now.
Ke$ha
We get that you're out-of-the-box, scary cool and not afraid to break boundaries, Ke$ha. Which is why we're just going to say ... keep at it, keep making those cookie-cutter Hollywood princesses quiver in their Louboutins. If you've got attitude: Wear it.
Julianne Moore
Up their with the best of them, this modern-day icon of the silver screen barely steps a foot wrong (sorry for the pun) but it must have been a rushed job getting dressed for this year's Cannes Film Festival. One little piggie just didn't want to stay home!
Katie Price AKA Jordan
There's not much to say here. Except 'Stop - and step away from the glue gun'. There are no lessons to be learned, no moral to this story. Just stop, Katie. Stop.
Now for the makeup round ...
Teresa Palmer was snapped wearing a little too much under-eye concealer at this Hollywood event in London. The Aussie actress and soon-to-be-mum poked fun at herself later though, telling her Twitter followers: "Note to self - always do own makeup!".
Miley Cyrus
The usually picture-perfect twerking enthusiast had an unfortunate foundation mishap at the Maxim Awards in May. We think she could pass for a femme fatale in a film noir detective drama where the light is always pitched through horizontal blinds. Or not.
Lady Gaga
This art/pop diva loves to break boundaries with her looks. The first of many to take to the underwear on the outside trend, she's donned wigs, arrived to events in eggs, dressed as a man even failed to wear any clothes at all on occasion. This week she unveiled yet another 'latest look'.
Kelly Osbourne
Please. Just let go of the purple locks, Kelly, so we can all stop comparing you to this '90s toy icon.
And our final category is the Fashion Victim.
Not literally a victim of fashion, but rather has managed to incorporate her fashion into her injury. This is no easy task.
Top points go to Mariah Carey for showing us how to rock a plaster cast both on the red carpet and the stage.
Honorable mentions go to Kirsten Stewert and Jennifer Lawrence.
