THE FASHION world is like no other, as many attendees of this week’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia can attest to.

But what really sets these people apart is the way they speak, babe. Our friends over at Vogue started jotting down some amazing one liners — here’s an example of what they overheard:

Guest at show: “I’m so hungry, all I’ve had time to eat today is a few leaves of kale.”

Front row attendee at Alex Perry, about the mirrored runway floor: “I just saw up Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s skirt.”

Unnamed guest at unnamed show: “The designers are in the bar getting drunk because no one’s here.”

Blogger drops her DSLR, met with loud gasps from the crowd: “There goes your blogging career.”

Guest at Ginger & Smart: “Sorry to ignore you, but I just noticed the coffee cart.”

At the Star Bar: “You look so fashion.”

Yep, you’d better believe it. News.com.au even overheard one guest declaring “I can’t BELIEVE I’m in the standing section. Don’t they know who I write for?”
