Women rave about $40 Kmart outfit you ‘need for summer’
The budget retailer has just dropped its new summer clothing line – and among the new items is “hot” new outfit that costs just $40.
Kmart has just dropped its summer apparel range – and while it has only been in store a few days, there’s a standout $40 outfit set to send shoppers into a spin.
The budget retailer released new men’s, kids’ and women’s wear into stores across the country on Thursday.
While there’s an array of new wardrobe offerings, news.com.au was invited to preview the Kmart collection, and as a result we’re predicting a cute two-piece set will be this summer’s must-have item.
The “Long Sleeve Boyfriend Shirt”, which retails for $25, and the matching $15 shorts are hit the mark with the popular co-ord trend and are already appearing all over Instagram.

One social media user, who posts under the handle @mums_style_diary, shared a series of snaps of herself wearing the “punch pink” cotton set – declaring it her “fave set”.
The mum-of-three, who has almost 110,000 followers, styled the $40 outfit with a white cami top, boots and handbag, prompting fans to comment on how “fab” it looked.
“That set looks so gorgeous on you!!” one said.
“Oh My lordie I need this set!” another declared.
As another wrote: “OK this outfit is goals.”
Instagram user @my.wardrobe.wonderland shared a video trying on some of the new spring arrivals in a Kmart changing room, including the pink co-ord set.
She also shared a photo showing her 17,000 followers how to style the oversized shirt – which also comes in blue – with pants.
In the snap she wore the shirt as a jacket over a white top, pairing it with linen bottoms and nude heels.
“That colour is amazing on you,” one follower declared.
“The pink,” another agreed.
The “must-have” set are among an array of new affordable fashion pieces added to stores this week with Kmart promising budget-conscious Australians nothing is priced higher than $35.
