Shoppers claim Kmart’s $9 Slouchy Comfort Pants ‘look like a vagina’

The discount supermarket has released a pair of pink trackies that some shoppers claim look like female genitalia, dubbing them “vagina pants”.

5 game-changing Kmart hacks

A pair of pink track pants have caught shoppers’ attention for all the wrong reasons after the baggy crotch area was described as resembling female genitalia.

A photo of Kmart’s “Slouchy Comfort Pants” were shared to the Kmart Hacks & Decor Facebook page along with the caption: “Marketing fail.”

The loungewear item features a baggy crotch area for comfort, causing excess fabric to ruffle and fold in the area.

While the original poster didn’t explicitly explain why the design of the pants featured a faux pas, it didn’t take long for comments to pour in, many dubbing the garment as “vagina pants”.

“What were they thinking?! Didn’t anyone at Kmart notice this?” one shopper asked.

“I prefer to wear my vagina on the inside of my pants thanks” another added.

“A nice shade of vulva pink.. no thanks,” someone else declared.

“This puts a new spin on ‘leaving nothing to the imagination’,” one woman chipped in.

While one person stated: “Comes with built in camel toe.”

But some defended the trackies – which retail between $9-$15 – staying they are “so soft and comfy”.

“They may be a marketing failure but I bought a pair and a size bigger too and they are damn comfy. Use them as indoor pants though,” one said.

“Side note; I got these in grey today and they’re ridiculously comfortable,” another agreed.

“THEY’RE SO COMFY THOUGH OML,” one woman added.

Others commented on the claims it was a “marketing fail”, writing it was actually a stroke of “genius”.

“Marketing genius! Look how many are talking about it and no doubt went to look online for it! Hilarious either way!” the commenter said.

“Marketing fail? They knew what they were doing,” another mused.

The accidentally rude pants proved such a stir, over 800 comments were made before admins switched them off.

According to the brand’s website the pants feature an elastic waist “for comfort” and are made from a bamboo derived material which is what gives them the softness.
