Mum’s $66 Kmart clothing combo stuns shoppers on TikTok
A Sydney mum has shown how to get three new spring outfits for a fraction of the cost of other stores.
As the weather heats up it’s the perfect time to revamp your wardrobe.
But if you’ve spent most of winter in lockdown (sorry Sydney and Melbourne) the transition from trackies to normal clothes can be tricky – not to mention, expensive.
But one influencer has shared how to create not one but three outfits from Kmart which cost less than $30 a pop.
Sydney blogger Dani Katralis shares her affordable fashion finds on Instagram and TikTok accounts Luxe and Lemonade.
The mum posted a video on Sunday sharing how she was able to create the three summer-ready outfits using five different Kmart items of clothing costing a total of $66.
First up Dani wore a blue printed linen-blend tank for $15, which she paired with denim shorts which also cost $15.
Next she wore one of Kmart’s $6 white tanks, which she paired with a ruffled $15 blue miniskirt.
For her final outfit Dani wore the same $15 blue skirt, but made it more dressy by pairing it with a $15 white sleeveless tie blouse.
Dani, who was gifted the clothing by Kmart for review, was praised by shoppers for her styling of the cheap basics.
“All so cute,” one person wrote on TikTok, while another said they were “going to Kmart now” to buy them.
“Love these combos, spring has such cute vibes,” one shopper wrote on Instagram.
Dani isn’t the only influencer making the most of Kmart’s new clothing range – last week Islah Palmer from Brisbane bought a skirt, top and shoes from the budget retailer.
She shared the whole outfit on TikTok where users said it “looks designer”.
Islah – who is not a paid ambassador for the brand – can be seen purchasing a nude, ribbed singled for $12 at Kmart. She teams it with a cream tiered skirt for $20 and a pair of nude mules, also $20.
She even managed to snag a pair of gold hooped “pearl” earrings for $8 to finish the look, bringing the total in at $60.
