Kmart shoppers rave about $20 denim midi skirt

Kmart has sent shoppers wild over its $20 skirt with many rushing out to nab the bargain buy that comes in three different colours.

Kmart fans will be quick to tell you that when it comes to affordable yet stylish buys, the retailer has you covered.

With restrictions having eased for most and summer fast-approaching, shoppers have wasted no time upgrading their wardrobe.

But it’s a $20 denim skirt that’s caught the attention of fashionistas and style bloggers alike.

A Kmart spokeswoman told news.com.au they received “such incredible feedback” for all their Denim Mum Jeans, that they took the leanings and applied the same fabric to this skirt style.

“Kmart fans have responded so well to this style and the incredible price too,” the spokeswoman said.

“The length and fit makes it so versatile to style – it can take you from day to night with ease whether you add a heel or go for a more casual look with a sneaker.”

The simple yet stylish denim midi skirt featured in an Instagram video by Australian stylist, Lisa Galanopoulos, with her post prompting shoppers to nab the “versatile” garment.

“Spotted this amazingly comfy high waisted denim midi skirt this week at @kmartaus and had to share it with you all!” Lisa captioned the clip.

“For an affordable $20, why wouldn’t I! Here are 3 looks I’ve created, with the second look being a swimsuit ($22) I styled, which can very easily be worn as a bodysuit!”

In the short transitional clip, she pairs the skirt with a sleeveless square neck cami for just $9 and a fuchsia tank for $12.

“Omg I love love it,” said another, while a third added: “Beautiful Beautiful beautiful.”

Others revealed they went out to buy the skirt.

“Thanks beautiful I got the skirt and top today,” one woman commented.

“Bought this skirt in the lighter shade only the other day … I love it, it’s so comfy. Looks great on you too,” said another.

The high-waisted skirt also comes in black and a light wash, with the fashion stylist sharing another clip on how you can style the light look.

She paired it with a selection of different tops that cost no more than $15.

Both videos have been viewed more than 50,000 times with followers raving about the “beautiful” $20 skirt.

“I love them all! That skirt is amazing!” one Instagram user wrote.

It comes after Kmart announced its new womenswear summer collection.

The new apparel line, called “Sundream”, takes inspiration from the hues of Australian summer sky, with lots of fun and bold colours to brighten wardrobes.

A popular item among the collection is a mustard yellow midi that began trickling out nationwide a few weeks ago with huge success.

The sleeveless dress is made in a trendy ribbed fabric and priced at $22, with bloggers raving it looks significantly more expensive than its affordable price tag.
