The silly season is officially here, and with it comes the quest for the perfect outfit to wear to all those end-of-year parties.

But if shelling out big for a designer outfit is out of reach this year (and to be honest, it is for most of us), then The Iconic is selling a dress that is strikingly similar to a design that’s been all over Instagram the last few months.

Los Angeles brand Cult Gaia’s Serita dress comes with a $695 price tag and plenty of fans which include supermodel Candice Swanepoel and former Miss Universe Australia Monika Radulovic, who wore the dress to her baby shower.

The neutral knitted dress features a plunging neckline and sexy cut out sections, making it perfect for an evening Christmas party while also breezy enough to wear to a beachside barbecue during the day.

Australian brand Dazie, which is available through online store The Iconic, are selling a maxi dress similar to the designer version – except at $99 it is much more wallet friendly.

Their Italian Sun Knit Maxi Dress features similar cut outs but the top section is attached to the bottom skirt with a loop rather than fabric.

It is also a slightly darker but still neutral shade and is made of polyester and viscose, while Cult Gaia’s dress is 77 per cent cotton and 23 per cent polyester.

Dazie’s “amazing” version has been praised online, with fans of the frock labelling it both “sexy” and “stunning”

Plenty of other Kmart fans agreed, saying the dress was a “bargain” and ultra flattering.
