Brisbane influencer shares $42 outfit you won’t believe is Kmart
An affordable fashion blogger has shared the “gorgeous” outfit she bought in Kmart – with many surprised it costs just $42.
A fashion influencer has shared the $42 Kmart outfit she “can’t get over”, as followers agree the purchase looks unbelievably “chic”.
Islah Palmer, from Brisbane, recently bought the discount store’s “Long Sleeve Plisse Top”, which retails for $22, along with the matching $20 “Plisse Full Length Pants”.
In total her outfit came to $42 – heaps cheaper than plisse sets sold by other Australian retailers, which often come in at over $100.
She later shared a video wearing the all-black ensemble from Kmart, declaring on social media: “This set is everything.”
In a separate post, she shared several snaps in the trendy get up, stating she “can’t get over” how great the garments are.
“HOW IS THIS GORG PLISSE SET ONLY $42 FROM KMART?,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I’m in Singapore right now wearing this set (it’s really humid here) but it’s so LIGHT and amazing!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
“By the way: I got size 10 for the pants so they aren’t too tight (I’m normally an 8) and I got the size 12 shirt for an oversized shirt vibe.”
A spokesperson for Kmart told news.com.au the Plisse set, made using a lightweight fabric formed into ridges or stripes, had proved extremely popular since it launched last month.
“We have been blown away by the customer love for this set. It’s super comfortable, easy to wear, and is flattering on all body shapes.
“We love seeing how people are wearing it as a full set as well as mixing in with their wardrobe staples.
“The pants look great with a basic tee and the shirt can we paired back with your favourite jeans.”
Viewers of Islah’s TikTok video have agreed, with Instagram users labelling the budget outfit “super cute” as well as “comfy”.
“Oh my God, I got the pants but they didn’t have the shirt. They’re so light and comfy!!!” one follower stated.
“Literally ran [to Kmart],” someone else agreed.
As one declared: “Love, love LOVE the outfit.”
On TikTok there was a similar reaction, with one even stating: “Nobody believes me when I say it’s from Kmart!”
“Bruh I need for work. I’m done buying nice work wear from them fancy expensive places. I want comfy,” one commented.
“SHUT THE FRONT DOOR,” another user, clearly in disbelief, chipped in.
While one stated: “Gettin this! You look so good.”
