Why Jasmine Stefanovic was turned away from Afterpay Fashion Week

The shoe designer wife of Karl Stefanovic was sadly turned away from one of Afterpay Fashion Week’s biggest shows.

It turns out there’s no such thing as being fashionably late at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, as Jasmine Stefanovic (nee Yarbrough) has learnt.

Video emerged yesterday of the shoe designer, who is married to Karl Stefanovic, being turned away by security at the Indigenous Fashion Projects show at Carriageworks.

Jasmine had been scheduled to attend the event, however, had to go through mandatory covid checks before being let in.

After they were completed it was then was too late to be admitted in as the show had been underway for 10 minutes, news.com.au understands.

The 37-year-old and her Mara & Mine co-founder Tamie Ingham had both attended the NONPLUS show at Bondi’s Icebergs earlier that day and were running behind schedule.

Jasmine looked stylish – and most importantly warm – on the fourth day of fashion week, wearing a cream turtleneck knit dress with a tie waist belt.

She paired the dress with a camel coat over her shoulders and accessorised her look with a Chloe clutch and gold statement earrings.

On Monday, Jasmine attended the Bondi Born and Rebecca Vallance shows in a black midi dress by Passenger which she paired with boots from her own label, Mara & Mine.

Jasmine and Tamie launched the brand in 2013, with the shoes worn by celebrities like Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne.

Jasmine married Today host Karl in a lavish ceremony in Cabo, Mexico in 2018 and welcomed their first child together, a daughter Harper, in May last year.

In a candid chat with Stellar last year Jasmine said becoming a mother had been “the best thing she’s ever done in her life”.

“It is so rewarding. Harper is my angel. She is the happiest baby. I’m probably biased, but she is pretty gorgeous. She even wakes up singing instead of crying. And then I look over in her cot and she’s beaming this gummy smile at me,” she said.
