Kim Kardashian and North West at Jean-Paul Gaultier Winter Show

The star wore a jaw-dropping gown at Paris Couture Fashion Week – with some fans comparing it to an iconic celebrity outfit from the ’90s.

Kim Kardashian has turned heads in a “naked” dress that makes it appear as if she has gone topless.

The mum-of-four wore a black skin-tight dress with flesh-coloured panels across the bust to sit front row at the Jean-Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Fall Winter show in Paris on Wednesday.

While the skin-coloured panels protected the Kardashians star, at first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking Kim was wearing a cut-out dress that exposed her chest.

She accessorised her grungy look with a Nineties-inspired cuff necklace that was attached by chains to her ears and a faux nose ring.

She also wore matching chunky silver bracelets and small oval shades.

Daughter North West, 9, appeared by her side at the event in a similar ensemble that also featured a fake nose ring, chains and tiny sunglasses.

The burgeoning fashionista – Kim’s eldest child with rapper ex Kanye West – styled her curly hair in long spiral braids that cascaded down her shoulders.

Her outfit comprised of a white shirt and pinstripe waistcoat that matched her famous mum’s dress.

She paired it with a co-ordinating skirt and knee-high combat boots.

The mother and daughter duo’s matching monochromatic grunge looks were in keeping with the special one-off runway show, which featured an array of similar styles from guest designer Olivier Rousteing.

Fans are speculating Kim’s dress is a homage to Madonna’s iconic topless jumpsuit that she wore during her appearance to a Jean Paul Gaultier show in 1992.

While Kim hasn’t confirmed this, there’s definitely a striking resemblance, right down to the pinstripe detailing.

Other looks on the Jean-Paul Gaultier were just as jaw-dropping as Kim’s, with one model wearing a black suit with a structured mannequin panelling that gave the illusion of a male’s naked figure – complete with a crotch bulge and pecs.

Another rocked a head-turning black skirt with a clear top that exposed the model’s breasts and torso.

Not all of the outfits were pulse-inducing, with a bright pink gown and peacock blue dress also floating down the catwalk.

The show came hours after Kim Kardashian walked the Balenciaga show at Paris Couture Fashion Week in a “head to toe” black look that deliberately contrasted her bleach blonde hair. On the catwalk, she was joined by other celebs including Dua Lipa, Christine Quinn and Aussie actress Nicole Kidman.

But while the runway appearance followed by a front-row seat beside Vogue editor Anna Wintour has cemented the reality star as a style icon, many slammed the choice in model.

“Cristobal Balenciaga is turning over in his grave,” one livid fan commented.
