Hundreds of celebrities and famous faces gathered to launch the 2022 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne last night.

The annual “Glamour on the Grid” event returned with a bang after a two-year Covid-induced hiatus – and while many were there to talk lap times and engine speeds, others were more interested in the dazzling fashion.

Among the star-studded attendees who’d pulled out all the stops in the style stakes were AFL legend Nathan Buckley’s girlfriend Alex Pike, comedian Andy Lee’s partner Rebecca Harding and model and former Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers.

Alex, whose budding romance with the Collingwood star began last year, wore a jaw-dropping floor-length gown designed by French fashion designer Alin Le’ Kal.

The white dress is part of the brand’s bridal collection and features sheer panels on the bodice, a plunging neckline and a thigh-high split that flaunted her legs.

Alex, 44, finished her dazzling red carpet look with an array of expensive jewellery items from Adoria Jewels and a pair of ‘Jessica Heels’ in silver by Melbourne fashion-stylist Lana Wilkinson.

Fans of the mum-of-three – who shares sons Spencer, Hudson and Jim with ex Leon Siebel – were quick to commend the brunette for her “gorgeous” outfit.

“Absolutely beautiful,” one wrote on Instagram, while another said: “Lady you look divine.”

She wasn’t the only person who chose a white gown with a daring thigh split for the event, with model Valentina Attard wearing a silk slip dress that cut away at her hip.

Former Bachelor star Florence Alexandra also opted for white, wearing a dress with a cut-out across her midriff and an asymmetric skirt.

Bec Harding, 29, also walked the red carpet, opting for a more casual look with a black pair of pants with a matching crop top. She accessorised her stylish outfit with a pair of red block heels and a discreet black clutch.

Olivia Molly Rogers also went all out, wearing a lilac gown made by “fabulously extravagant” brand Oglia Loro Couture.

The striking dress featured a plunging neckline that stopped at the ribcage, and a lace detailing that trailed one arm and around her neck.

She paired the look with nude pointed heels and a mini clutch.
