Nathan Buckley’s girlfriend Alex Pike posts message to ex-husband
Alex Pike posted a lengthy message about her ex-husband on what would have been their 19th anniversary, earning praise from fans.
She’s dating one of the Australia’s greatest footballers, but Alex Pike has revealed her ex-husband still has a piece of her heart.
The 44-year-old has moved on with Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley, the pair confirming their budding romance in May last year.
However the AFL WAG shared a gushing post to her former flame Leon Siebel, the father of her three sons, Spencer, Hudson and Jim, thanking him for their strong co-parenting relationship on what would have been their 19th wedding anniversary.
“Thank you for being there for me and the boys. Thank you for being so supportive,” she wrote.
“It hasn’t always been rainbows and lollipops but we have both worked hard to always be considerate of each other and operate from a place Of love and respect.
“We have endeavoured to always do what is right for our family.”
Alex, a cosmetic nurse from Yarra, went on to explain the pair met when they were just teenagers at a party, writing while their marriage may not have lasted their co-parenting relationship had “gone from strength to strength”.
“The boys and I are so very proud of everything you have accomplished,” she said.
“I know in 2022 you are going to continue to kick goals in EVERY aspect of your life. The best is yet to come for you Leon.”
Alongside her heartwarming post dedicated to Leon – a renewable energy entrepreneur who reportedly drives a $60,000 Tesla – Alex shared a series of snaps, including one from their wedding day.
The post has clearly resonated with many, as followers flooded the comments in support.
“This is so incredibly inspiring to transition a relationship to friendship and strong co-parents,” one said.
“What wonderful role models you both are for your boys,” another wrote.
While one declared: “This is how it should be. What amazing humans you both are and your boys will be blessed by your approach.”
Alex reportedly started dating Buckley, who is currently competing in the 2022 season of I’m A Celebrity Australia, just one month after announcing his separation with wife of 18 years Tania Minnici.
The pair were first spotted in public together in May going for a stroll around Melbourne together.
