Lara Worthington wears unique top at Paris Fashion Week
An Australian model has drawn praise over her outfit at Paris Fashion Week after her top held an unusual detail to it.
An Australian model has drawn praise over her outfit at one of the most important fashion moments of the year.
Lara Worthington, who is married to actor Sam Worthington, was at the Vetements Autumn and Winter show at Paris Fashion Week.
Worthington, who rose to international fame after a 2006 Tourism Australia advertisement, wore a standout outfit to the occasion.
She had her cropped blonde hair straight around her face, and wore baggy suit pants and pointed boots.
But the part of Worthington’s outfit that drew the most attention was her top by upcycling fashion label Bettter.
The unique garment, styled by Vanessa Coyle, consisted of a black, strapless undershirt with seven belts strapped around her torso.
The belt ends were not tucked in so they hung off of her back.
Victoria Meek, a cosmetic chemist and make-up artist, said: “Love! You look incredible.”
Meanwhile make-up artist Fara Homidi, who runs a beauty brand with the same name, said: “What a queen! Was so lovely to meet you the other night.”
Pip Edwards, the woman behind Australian activewear brand P.E. Nation, said: “On fire.”
Actress Teresa Palmer commented a handful of fire emojis on a snap of Worthington wearing the unique outfit.
Fans of the model were equally obsessed with the outfit.
One said: “Old school AD vibes.”
“Obsessed with this top,” ones social media user commented.
Another said: “Love that top.”
One joked: “BELTER of an outfit.”
Many complimented Worthington’s short hair.
However some were less than impressed with her choice in clothing for the prestigious event.
“Fashion fail this time,” one said.
“Yuck … why,” another social media user questioned.
“You look fabulous … but all those belts around me would freak me out,” one social media commented.
Another said: “Looks heavy. That’s a lot leather.”
