Bec Judd’s skin-tight body suit causes stir among fans

The Melbourne WAG and mum-of-four has released a new activewear collection – but one item has caused a stir among her fans.

Bec Judd stuns in bargain $41 Target dress

Rebecca Judd is being playfully roasted by fans after launching a skin-tight bodysuit that many have suggested isn’t suitable to be worn outside.

The AFL WAG and mum-of-four co-owns activewear brand JAGGAD with a friend and recently released a collection of retro gym wear pieces.

Among the items is a one-piece bodysuit that retails for $129 which Bec modelled on social media.

“So much love for this lil suit,” Bec captioned a series of snaps wearing the black unitard with green and pink panelling.

But while she undoubtedly looks fantastic in the figure-hugging lycra outfit, many of the star’s fans have pointed out the garment is far from practical in everyday life.

“Not sure I’d be going to Woolies in this after the gym…” one fan commented.

“Pity us mere mortals could never possibly wear this outside the house,” another remarked.

While one teased: “What is it?”

Not everyone poked fun at the bold gym wear item, with some stating Bec looked “stunning” and “gorgeous” in her new collection.

“Absolutely gorgeous Bec,” one wrote.

“So beautiful, love the collection,” another agreed.

To launch the bodysuit, JAGGAD held an event at The Langham Gold Coast with a handful of influencers, many of who sported the activewear item and declared it a “fave”.

“This body suit is going to be on high rotation,” one wrote.

Bodysuits are not a new trend, with the racy gym wear first gaining attention back in 2020 after a Melbourne brand launched one featuring a cut-out on the midriff.

Contrology Active owner Anna Tchakirian told news.com.au at the time, the style was growing in popularity after initially being deemed “taboo” thanks to its links to the 1980s.

“People have a bit of a taboo with bodysuits as many of them feel they are too reminiscent of the 1980s Retro Days,” she said at the time.

“So it took a bit of time and effort for us to show people to not be afraid and that a bodysuit of this type can in fact can look elevated and modern.”

In the past, Bec released a pink striped bodysuit for her brand, which retailed for $129.95.

It was sold alongside a pair of trendy bike shorts that the former radio-host declared were perfect for working out and running errands.

“They’re not too short, not too long, enough coverage, you can do your squats and everything and they have a pocket for your car key or your card,” she said in 2020.

Customers were quick to snap up the $89.95 shorts – with some labelling them “super comfy”.
