Budget Kmart bikini goes viral alongside an important message

An Aussie mum’s post about a new Kmart bikini has struck a chord with women praising her for sharing some “very true words”.

The bikini trends nobody asked for

There’s no better feeling than when you stumble across a bikini that is not only stylish but affordable.

And Kmart has ticked both boxes after it released yet another budget bikini that has clocked thousands of likes on Instagram.

But it’s not the “crinkle bikini” top setting you back just $12 and $10 for bottoms, shoppers have praised it over one very important feature.

Dedicated fan page of the budget retailer, The Kmart Lover, shared a snap of a fan in the bikini as she flaunted her toned figure wearing the white two-piece swimsuit.

“Krista self admittedly likes a full coverage brief but here she is in the size 16 showing again that a label is not a barrier. She is wearing the size 12 top. So people, wear what you feel COMFORTABLE in!” the post read.

“Never be defined by a label, a brand or a size. Love your body and it will love you right back, after all it’s the only one you’ve got so be kind to it.”

The message — which was about not feeling pressured by a garment’s size, as let’s face it they vary massively from store to store — has earned applause from fans who couldn’t agree more with the post, prompting other women to share their experiences.

“Thanks you to you @fithappymummy I finally brought these bathers! And for once I just tried them on and wasn’t scared about the size! I am very different shape being in a 8 bottom and a 14 top (gifted with big boobs!) both you girls are bloody amazing!!!” one woman said.

“So many times I won’t buy something because it’s “bigger” than my regular size and so I refuse to buy it. Such a stupid mind set. There should be no size labels we should just see something we like, it try it on (buy it) and move on,” explained another.

Other simply praised the fan page for spreading such a positive message.

“Love the bikini and what a great message to spread about not being defined by a label. I’m slowly learning this myself and it’s fantastic to be reminded by such amazing and inspiring ladies like yourselves. Looking hot Mumma,” a fan posted.

“Amazing. And very true words!” said another.

“This post has made my day,” a third said.

The stylish two-piece worn by mummy and fitness blogger Krista Dennis comes in white and features crinkles on both the top and bottom.

But it’s not the first time Kmart has caused a frenzy.

Last October, shoppers frothed over its leopard-print cozzie. The snug high-waisted bottoms feature a built-in tummy control helping wearers look and feel their best.

On Instagram, women shared selfies of themselves wearing the two-piece — which costs $24 for both the bra and bottoms — calling it “fabulous” and “awesome”.

Plus-size fashion model Lavi Love also shared photos of herself in the popular bikini, along with an empowering message about body confidence.

“Body confidence does not come from trying to achieve the ‘perfect’ body. It comes from embracing the one you’ve already got,” she said.
