Those are some pretty fly kicks.

A pair of custom Nike sneakers designed for the former US president Barack Obama are expected to fetch an eye-watering amount when they go up for online auction tomorrow.

The Nike Hyperdunks are expected to go for approximately $US25,000, or $A32,000.

The sneakers are one of only two pairs in existence, made custom for the 44th President of the US – a second pair was made for Mr Obama in 2009, luxury auction house Sotheby’s said in an online listing.

“Created exclusively for the 44th president of the United States, this particular pair is Nike’s only confirmed sample and has been kept in pristine condition over the last 12 years,” the listing said.

“This Hyperdunk resembles the ‘United We Rise’ version with white leather uppers, blue Swooshes and visible Flywire technology. Custom details include the official Presidential Seal and embroidered ‘44’s to commemorate the 44th US president.”

The shoes will go on sale at 4.44pm EST on Friday, to honour the 44th president.

Mr Obama’s first custom shoe was released as a collaboration with late basketball star Kobe Bryant, according to CNN.

The second shoe design was released to commemorate Mr Obama’s presidency in 2015.

Mr Obama’s sneakers might seem pricey, but people have paid more for famous people’s used shoes.

Last year, Sotheby’s listed a pair of Air Jordan 1s in their original red and black design which had been signed and worn by Michael Jordan himself. The shoes were expected to sell for more than $A153,000.
