MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis reveals a very dramatic new hairstyle – and fans are going wild

Former MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis recently shared snaps online revealing she has undergone a dramatic new look – and her fans can’t get enough.

The drama of Married At First Sight season 7 might be in full flight but that doesn’t mean when former cast members make changes to how they look, fans don’t notice.

Recently Martha Kalifatidis unveiled she has ditched her shoulder-length lob for a striking chin-length bob, and the chic new do is causing major waves.

Sharing details on an Instagram story, Martha told her 299,000 followers there was nothing staged about her new look, and even answered a fan query about hair extensions.

The question was put to the 31-year-old while she was in the car with her mother as the duo made their way to Sydney from Melbourne.

In reponse to whether her hair was made thicker with extensions, Martha quipped that not only was her hair her own, but she also had “a light layer of fur that covers my entire body”.

Martha and her boyfriend Michael Brunelli, whom she met and married on the show, are relocating to Bondi.

Fans have been quick to praise the former reality star on her daring new look and have taken to a recent Instagram post to say she looks great.

One besotted fan said: “Your hair looks amazing”, while another said: “Love the short hair”.

A third neatly summed it up by simply stating the new do was “Awesome”.

The Greek beauty sashayed onto season six of the hit show bristling with confidence along with a head full of extensions which came down past her waist.

Her look at the time saw her compare favourably to reality television’s ultimate heavy hitter, Kim Kardashian.

And while initially, the comparison was complimentary, it wasn’t long before the similarities gave trolls fuel for their miserable fire, dubbing Martha “Kmart Kim”.

“At first I thought it (being likened to a Kardashian) was a compliment, but now I feel like everyone’s saying it in a horrible way, and I just think, like, OK, so anybody with dark hair and dark eyes and that wears make-up is a Kardashian?” she told The Daily Telegraph previously.

“I’m just over hearing now because it’s not saying it in a nice way. They’re saying it like, ‘You’re a try-hard or you’re a wannabe’, and that’s the last thing that I am,” she said

Late 2019, Martha ditched her long hair for a much, shorter, and far sleeker, lob – a daring move earning her instant cool-girl cachet.

Her most recent haircut follows proves the reality star clearly has her finger on the pulse of fashion and that she isn’t afraid to make a strong style statement.

She recently stepped out to attend an elegant party hosted by Michael Arthur Boutique in Sydney, giving onlookers a glimpse of her sleek new do.

Showing she isn’t afraid to turn up the heat, the 31-year-old flaunted her stunning physique in a daring Dion Lee slim-fitting cream dress.

The stunning dress was paired with an on-trend Fendi shoulder bag and $200,000 worth of Michael Arthur jewels including a necklace, earrings, bracelet and rings.

Her beau Micheal chose to opt for a more casual look, donning a peach coloured T-shirt and cream coloured jeans.

It is understood the event was populated with MAFS stars including Elizabeth Sobinoff who appeared on the show in 2019 and is also making an appearance this year.
