Salim Mehajer’s latest move is utterly bizarre
SALIM Mehajer has unveiled a surprising new business venture, while giving a cryptic shout-out to a special someone.
IN A move that absolutely nobody saw coming, former Auburn City Council deputy mayor and property developer Salim Mehajer has unveiled his own line of hotel toiletries.
The controversial character took to Instagram last night to announce that the new range of personal hygiene products is “coming soon”.
In the post, Salim thanks his sisters Kat, Mary and Sanaa for their support, as well as his new brother-in-law Ibraham Sakalaki and rumoured new girlfriend Constance Siaf (whose Instagram profile incidentally now reads “Happily attached”.)
Salim announces that the range will be out in selected hotels and online early 2017.
The collection looks to include hotel bathroom staples such as a toothbrush, body lotion, soap (presumably with the scent of money) and towels.
When contacted, the publicist for the Mehajer family said she had personally felt the towels and they were “very fluffy”.
The items are branded with a somewhat wonky crown emblem. Crowns are a popular motif with the Mehajer clan — their Instagram posts are littered with the royal emoji, and Kat toyed with the idea of getting matching crown tattoos with fiance Ibraham during their engagement (they were married in a lavish ceremony on the weekend).
The new project is centred on another element that the Mehajers are passionate about: beauty and physical appearance.
Salim’s sisters registered a new business venture, Mehajer Beauty Bar, on March 15.
Kat and Aiisha appear in myriad coloured wigs on social media posts promoting the new business, both as models and marketers for the beauty bar which currently has a website under construction.
But perhaps the most interesting element of Salim’s post last night is the cryptic shout-out to a mystery supporter: “However, all credit goes to the person who came up with this idea and initiated this trial which has now become a reality. You know exactly who you are. Lots of love from the bottom of my heart!!”
Anyone who has been following Salim’s dogged insistence that all is well in his marriage may conclude that he is referring to his estranged wife Aysha.
While Salim has insisted that “only death will do us apart,” Aysha’s actions might indicate otherwise. She fled their marital home in Lidcombe months ago, has dropped the Mehajer name and police lodged an AVO against Salim on her behalf.
Their relationship received another PR blow earlier this month when A Current Affair aired footage of Salim launching into an expletive-laden rant against Aysha:
In a way, it’s rather perfect that Salim’s mum now has Mehajer-branded soap to wash her son’s mouth out with ...
