A BRITISH beauty blogger who has 124,000 followers on her Instagram page emeraldxbeauty, is popular for sharing unedited photos of her make-up free face.

Kadeeja Khan, 21, from Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, was delighted to be contacted by the make-up brand, but was left gutted when they said they wouldn’t be able to work with her after all.

She told Sun Online: “It’s honestly such a shame. I love L’Oreal and their products and was really excited when they reached out to work with me.

“But after I’d already got my hopes up I was completely let down and insulted by their reason for not wanting to work with me.

“It just shows that L’Oreal only want to work with people with perfect skin, but that isn’t real.

“They are promoting an image of perfect beauty that simply isn’t real.”

Ms Kadeeja says she had already agreed to take part in a trip to Paris, for the launch of a new vegan hair dye range, when a L’Oreal employee emailed her.

She was stunned to be told: “L’Oreal can’t be involved with people with skin issues (question of regulations) that’s why they decided to change the line of the project at the last moment.”

Ms Kadeeja said: “I was really gobsmacked when I read the message from this woman.

“My whole Instagram is about sharing unedited photos, and I am very honest about my acne.

“I don’t know why they would get my hopes up just to let me down — they were the ones to reach out to me not the other way around.

“They must have known what I post about on my social media before contacting me.

“I know internet trolls will say horrible things to me, but to have that confirmed by an international brand has made me feel like there isn’t any space for people like me.”

Ms Kadeeja wants to raise awareness about the cruel rejection, saying: “People deserve to know what this company are like.

“I have shared it with my following and a lot of people were shocked that they would behave this way.

“My followers are disgusted at this, some of them have been sending me videos of them throwing their L’Oreal products in the bin.”

A L’Oreal spokesman told Sun Online: “We deeply apologise for any upset caused, and have made direct contact with the individuals involved to clarify this unfortunate misunderstanding.

“The photoshoot was designed to support a new hair colour launch and feature hairdressers and lifestyle bloggers.

“Unfortunately, a misunderstanding resulted in the agency casting bloggers with skin concerns for this shoot.

“This resulted in the wrong profile being cast, which was then poorly and insensitively communicated to the individuals concerned.

“We do not have regulations in place that restrict us from working with people with skin conditions. At L’Oréal we work with women and men with all skin types and celebrate beauty in all its diversity.”

Ms Kadeeja is just one of many acne sufferers who swear by this $9 foundation, which is blowing away beauty bloggers.

While this teen claims she beat her acne using just green tea and honey, and other sufferers are desperate to give it a go.
