An important Kmart employee has revealed her top pick from the store’s latest collection – and the $5 product is already proving hard to find.

A Kmart employee has revealed the $5 “hero” product every Australian needs from the store’s newest collection.

The budget retailer just launched a range of Australian-made skincare that is super affordable.

Among the goodies found in Kmart’s beauty aisle are discount face masks, cleansers, body lotions, multiple moisturisers to treat different skin conditions and even an eye cream.

While everything costs under $6, customers have been even more impressed by the fact the products are all manufactured in Melbourne.

“Australian Made? That’s Fantastic!” one delighted shopper wrote on TikTok.

“Love that these are locally produced,” another agreed.

Kmart’s beauty buyer Nicola Farrell shared her top pick from the new range, telling news.com.au’s The Beauty Diary it contained everything Australians need for good skin.

“This range covers all skincare needs with a beautiful foaming cleanser, serums, moisturisers and a facial mist to use on the go to optimise the skin’s hydration throughout the day,” she said.

“The hero is the overnight gel mask to infuse our skin with hyaluronic acid and boost our skin’s hydration as we sleep.

“The range is proudly manufactured here in Melbourne and is available in store and online at our famously incredible prices.”

Nicola’s recommendation is already proving popular with the store’s website stating the “Australian Tea Tree with Witch Hazel Calming Night Treatment Gel” had sold out online.

However plenty of other beauty goodies were still available, including the “Australian Manuka Honey Eye Cream”, which retails for $5, and the $6 “Detoxify & Brighten Pink Clay Face Mask Tube”.

In total there are 39 different Australian-made skincare products available at Kmart alongside the retailer’s other offerings which include well-known brands Garnier, Nip+Fab and Nivea.

As well as the new local products, Kmart has also introduced another in-house line in bright coloured packaging that features serums, face mask and shower products.
