THE air steward who spent $566,000 to look like a real life Ken doll has been rushed to hospital after a hole appeared in his nose.

Rodrigo Alves is being treated in Malaga, Spain, suffering from the life threatening illness necrosis, reports The Sun.

Air steward Rodrigo, 32, who lives in London, has had 42 operations in 15 years in his quest to look like Barbie’s plastic boyfriend, but his latest surgery has gone wrong.

Speaking at hospital he said: “I had nose reconstruction three months ago and it appears the new cartilage has been rejected by my body.

“It is very frightening and I’m trying to get back to London as soon as possible for help. My breathing has been getting worse for the last three days and now my nose is completely blocked.

“A horrible hole has appeared in my nostril and the infection is eating my nose and I’ve been warned if it is not stopped it could eat into my face. It’s very hot and dusty here and I wonder whether this might have set the infection off.”

Rodrigo, who is originally from Brazil but now has British citizenship, is having hour-long intravenous drips of antibiotics every eight hours.

“I’m very upset and very worried. I’m very hot and feverish and doctors are giving me conflicting advice,” he said.

“I first got sent to an ears, eyes and nose specialist but then I got transferred to an infections specialist. It appears the skin inside my nose has died and I may need a complete reconstruction.

“I’ve been feeling unwell for several days but everything in Spain happens so slowly. I really want to get home and get expert treatment but I need another session on these drips.”

Three years ago he narrowly escaped death after a procedure to enhance his biceps went wrong and chemicals leaked into his blood stream.

He was warned he might need to have his arm amputated.

In the past 12 months he has spent an amazing $176,000 on 20 surgeries all over the world.

In January he splashed out $27,000 on his sixth nose job, liposuction and a chin implant in Iran.

He also had a $46,000 hair transplant at the Beverly Hills Hair Restoration Clinic and cheek fat removed last August.

He donates money to a women’s refuge charity in South America and pays for his ops through an inheritance from his Brazilian grandparents, his airline job and rental income from his property in Puerto Banus.
