Brazilian man spends $500k on surgeries to look like Barbie’s boyfriend
WE ALL want to look better, we’re only human. But would you spend your life savings on surgeries to look like this?
A MAN has spent a grand total of $576,000 on 42 different plastic surgery operations to look like a “real-life Ken doll”.
Party-mad Rodrigo Alves, who was originally born in Brazil, never felt comfortable in his own body.
He believes that his cosmetic enhancements have helped him to be more confident and happier.
Rodrigo spoke to The Sun two years ago, but in recent months, his look has become even more extreme.
The Instagram star, who has almost 70,000 followers, has had dozens of procedures, including liposuction, Botox and fillers.
Some his most bizarre operations include calf-shaping surgery and a six-pack implant.
In a moving post on social media, Rodrigo explained that he wasn’t able to achieve the body he wanted at the gym because of an endocrine disorder.
He said: “To match my soul and I was born in the wrong body and it took me a lot of courage to do something about it the only way to reinvent myself was with #plastic surgery.”
Yesterday, he added: “After plastic surgery I became more confident and started to have a unique style that fits me like a glove”
Socialite Rodrigo also takes a number of different pills each day, including collagen tablets, anti-water retention and hair growth medication.
As well as jetsetting between the UK and Spain on a regular basis, Rodrigo says he raises money for his surgery by working as a flight attendant, image consultant and an event host.
Rodrigo’s fans flock to Instagram to leave messages of support for the social media star.
An adoring fan said: “Damn, you are beautiful all over”, while another remarked: “Fabulous darling! I’m love this new nose and whole look!”
Despite this, not everyone is supportive of Rodrigo’s extreme look and he has to face negative comments online every day.
One Instagram user advised: “Please no more surgeries, no more fillers, Botox or makeup” while another said: “haha just please stop!”
