Bulgarian woman undergoes dramatic transformation after having 15 operations to look like Barbie doll

A 22-year-old student is completely unrecognisable after she had more than 15 cosmetic procedures to look like her plastic idol, Barbie.

A young woman has shocked the internet after undergoing more than 15 cosmetic procedures in just one year in a bid to look like a Barbie doll.

Andrea Ivanova, a university student from the city of Burgas on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, began her transformation last year.

The 22-year-old said she always wanted to look like her plastic idol since she was a little girl, however internet users have compared her shocking new look to “Daffy Ducky” and the “Loch Ness monster”.

According to local media, Andrea injects hyaluronic acid in her lips and “refills” them every time they start to reduce in size.

“I did maybe over 15 procedures since then (2018). I didn’t count them, maybe there are more,” she told Bulgaria Today.

After her images went viral, many took to social media to slam the young woman’s makeover.

“The doctors who create these freaks should go to prison,” one person commented.

“I want to throw up,” added another.

“Can she speak with that weird mouth?” said a third.

“Honestly, I think she was prettier before,” a Twitter user said.

However the 22-year is happy with her appearance and has hit back at critics, saying “everyone has the right to live and look as they want”.

“It is not necessary for everyone to fit to a standard imposed by other people,” Andrea said, adding it was a personal choice and “I have never been afraid to express it”.

While the cost of her procedures hasn’t been reported, Andrea revealed men had offered her money for sex, but she had refused.

According to Plovdiv News, she said: “Most of them offered me 10,000 leva ($A8,000). It’s a lot of money, but I refused. I do not do such things for payment.”

She’s not the only one wanting to look like a Barbie doll — in March this year model Paulina Candy revealed how her former boyfriends paid for her $93,000 plastic surgery to achieve a “perfect body like a Barbie doll”.

The 24-year-old, who lives in London, had her first of three boob jobs at the age of 18 — going from a B-cup to a J-cup — and has also received bum implants, lip fillers, cheek fillers and a nose job.

Paulina, who is originally from Warsaw in Poland, also expressed how she too always wanted to look like Barbie.

Meanwhile, last year Pixee Fox was banned from having more surgery to look like a cartoon.

The 28-year-old has already had more than 200 cosmetic procedures in order to look like a “living cartoon”.
