Anna Paul shares painful TikTok video of lip filler being dissolved

After getting lip injections 15 times in the last three years alone the 21-year-old was forced to get a painful procedure that “felt like acid”.

TikTok star Anna Paul has shared the reality of getting her lip fillers dissolved, saying the painful procedure felt like “acid” was being injected into her face.

The 21-year-old first got lip injections on her 18th birthday, telling news.com.au she has had them done about 15 times in the last three years alone.

Over the years Anna had gone to “sketchy” different clinics to get the injections done, which had resulted in the filler moving in her face.

“The lip injection product had actually started migrating up into the top of my lips where it wasn’t meant to be, and because of that I had to get them fully dissolved to start again,” she said.

To get rid of her filler, Anna had the dissolving solution injected into her lips, leaving her with swollen lips for a few hours and bruised for days afterwards.

Anna said it had been “pretty scary” to see how much her lips had swollen up while getting the filler dissolved.

“It was about four times more painful than getting them originally injected,” she said. “It felt like acid in my lips and because I had so much product they got so, so, so swollen.”

Anna, who has 870,000 followers on TikTok where she is famous for vlogging every day of her life, said the reaction from her fans has been surprising.

Anna said it was ‘pretty scary’ to see her lips swell up afterwards.

But fortunately the swelling only lasted for an hour.

A video of her getting her lip filler dissolved has been viewed more than 530,000 times, with Anna telling people that if they have “bad lip filler sausage lips like I did, there is hope”.

“The reaction of my followers has been so so positive,” she told news.com.au. “Everyone is telling me I look way better without any injections.”

But Anna isn’t a fan of her normal lips and will get them reinjected by a trusted clinic after two weeks have passed.

“I’m planning to get about 2mls in when I get them reinjected,” she said. “I want them to be really natural-looking this time!”

Anna was left with bruised lips for days afterwards.

Women getting their lip fillers dissolved is on the rise, with Kylie Jenner, whose injections at age 16 sparked a global trend for plump lips, getting hers reversed in 2018.

Married At First Sight star Tracey Jewel also had $9000 worth of filler in her lips, cheeks and under her eyes dissolved after she was “extremely bullied” over her appearance.

Injections specialist Dr Nick Milojevic said there was a growing trend for more natural lips and women opting to get their fillers dissolved.

“Ever since Meghan Markle came into the public eye people have been adopting a more natural look, and it seems big lips are no longer as desirable as they once were,” he told Harper’s Bazaar.

“Fullness, definition and a flattering shape it is now more commonly requested in my own practice rather than the overinflated lip of recent years.”
