Aus Open 2024: Morgan Riddle stuns at Bondi Sands Tennis Club
The long-time girlfriend of America’s top-ranked tennis player has stunned at an exclusive party in Melbourne.
A popular WAG, dubbed the “first lady of tennis”, has stolen the show at this year’s Australian Open.
Morgan Riddle, the partner of American champ Taylor Fritz, rose to online fame while attending the prestigious Melbourne tournament in 2022 after a “get ready with me” video went viral.
What began with her trying on outfits for the Australian Open on TikTok, a video that has since been viewed more than 1.5 million times, has evolved into a budding influencer career – that even resulted in her hosting ‘Wimbledon Threads’, a video series on fashion at the tournament.
Fast forward two years and the bona fide social media star, who has almost 700,000 followers on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, is now back at Melbourne Park to support her long-time partner.
However, the 26-year-old is arguably just as well known around Melbourne as the top-ranked American tennis player – and has been busy attending events as Fritz sets his sights on the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup.
Morgan was the star attraction at the Bondi Sands Tennis Club, held on the rooftop of the QT on Monday, despite being attended by a string of well-known Aussie talent.
The former real estate opted for a white crop top and mini skirt which she paired with an array of striking gold jewellery.
She finished her tennis outfit by tying her signature blonde hair in a sleek ponytail, leaving her tendrils hanging loose to frame her face.
The Australian beauty brand also hosted Costeen Hatzi, girlfriend of Nick Kyrgios, at the exclusive luncheon to celebrate its return as the official sunscreen of the Aus Open.
Costeen opted for a white tennis set from Viktoria and Woods for the event, wearing her dark hair in loose waves that fell over her shoulders.
Canadian tennis player Ayan Broomfield was also at the star-studded event, wearing a cream slip dress, as she posed for a series of snaps alongside Morgan and Costeen.
Bondi Sands, which has just reformulated its cult sport SPF 50 so it can be applied effectively on wet skin, also hosted a string of local stars including former Bachelor star Brooke Blurton, fashion entrepreneur and model Riley Hemson, and influencer royalty Pia Muehlenbeck alongside her creative director husband Kane Vato.
On the opening night of the Aus Open, Morgan opted for a far less casual ensemble, wearing a black mini dress that she revealed in a video “took two people to do up”.
“I did not try this dress on, and I cannot zip it, like, I’m not even close,” she explained, before showing two people helping do it up.
She also commented on the outfit she was wearing in the video that led to her “becoming an influencer,” claiming she now thinks the look she served was “ugly”.
“That’s okay, styles evolve, we live and we learn.”
In a separate clip of the outfit, Morgan – who was named “the most famous woman in men’s tennis” by The New York Times last year – showed off the accessories she paired with the mini-dress, revealing had an expensive Chanel bag with gold Oscar de la Renta jewellery.
Fans were quick to praise Morgan’s look, with one declaring “you’re basically the First Lady of tennis”.
“SO GOOD,” one agreed.
“Iconic,” another wrote, while someone else shared: “Go queen.”
