VIKTORIA Novak and her signature metallic millinery and crowns are winging their way to New York as part of Fashion Week.
AUSTRALIAN celebrity milliner and creator of some of the most innovative metallic ‘crowns’ is heading to New York Fashion Week next month.
Viktoria Novak will be Australia’s first couture milliner to showcase her collection, independently and on the runway of New York Fashion Week. Viktoria is working with Fashion Palette, an Australian fashion agency designed to help fashion designers expand their businesses with annual runway platforms.
The show, on September 10, aims to connect designers with industry professionals, consumers, media and buyers.
Viktoria will join 20 other Aussie fashion names including Bec & Bridge, Duskii, Emma Mulholland x Mambo and Hun & Heart who will set up at Pier 59 in Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River.
“I am so excited and honoured to be the first in Australian millinery history to show my world,” says Viktoria.
“It’s been great working with Fashion Palette and I really want to make a statement on the international runway.”
Exclusively designed for New York, Viktoria’s ‘The Galaxy of Flora’ collection will display some of her exquisite handmade millinery pieces.
Viktoria Novak has designed for celebrity clientele like Jennifer Hawkins, Kyle Clarke, Nicole Warne, Jodi Gordon, Turia Pitt and Kate Waterhouse and fashion publications like VOGUE, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.
“I want to take my pieces to a worldwide event of high fashion prestige,” says Viktoria.
“I am hoping that US international buyers and the media will enter headpiece heaven.”
