Mum discovers her toddler eating father’s ashes
A ‘mortified’ mother has found her one-year-old son eating the ashes of her dead father.
This is the horrifying moment a mother walks into her living room only to discover her toddler eating her late father’s ashes.
Natasha Emeny, from Lincoln UK, had only popped upstairs to put some washing away when she returned to discover her one-year-old son playing with cremated ashes.
Posting the clip to social media, Natasha can be heard crying, “Oh my God. When your son eats your dad.”
“My son has eaten my dad’s ashes,” she wails as she shows an empty urn and a cupboard covered in remains.
Panning the footage towards the living room, her son can be seen with ashes on his T-shirt and around his mouth - after unknowingly consuming them.
Another shot shows the couch covered in the contents, with swirls of finger marks running through the ashes.
According to Daily Mail, Natasha said, “‘It took me a moment to realise it was in fact my dad’s ashes.”
‘I was mortified. I’m still trying to process it!’ she added.
The clip, which has amassed over 16 million views, was flooded with commenters who saw the humour in it.
“Your dad will always be apart of your son now,” one joked.
“I don’t think this is how reincarnation is meant to work,” quipped another.
“Please say this is an April Fools joke,” said a third, to which Natasha replied, “I wish it was.”
Speaking to The Sun, Natasha confirmed that her son is “absolutely fine” and that “he didn’t consume much.”
She went on to admit that it was a “mortifying experience” for her.
The video comes just two months after a Colorado mother suffered a similarly unfortunate fate.
Monica Long had left her two and three-year-old sons alone for just a moment.
She returned to find “dirt” scattered on the floor and on her children’s lips, which she quickly cleaned up and went about her day.
It wasn’t until days later that she noticed the container where she kept her late father, had been completely emptied.
“Oh my gosh, they got PawPaw and I vacuumed him up,” she exclaimed.
Following the initial shock, both mothers have revealed that they’re now able to see the humour in these unfortunate events.
