A family-run business has spoken out after a 30-year-old worker was crushed to death in a tragic workplace incident.
A family-run business has shared their devastation after a 30-year-old worker was fatally crushed by a dump truck southeast of Adelaide.
Emergency services were called to the Mulch N More on Baker Rd in Brinkley, about 7km from Murray Bridge town centre, about 7.15am on Friday after reports a worker was critically injured by heavy machinery.
Police confirmed the Adelaide Hills man was taken to hospital but died later died from his injuries.
On Friday evening, Mulch N More said they would suspend operations until further notice “out of respect” for their colleague and friend.
“Mulch N More is deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden passing of a 30-year-old driver this morning in a tragic accident at our Brinkley depot,” the business said in a statement.
“This is a very distressing time for everyone involved and, as a small family-run business, we are grieving along with his loved ones.”
The five-year-old business said they “consider every member of our team to be part of our family”.

Counselling will be provided for staff and the business is offering support to the deceased worker’s family.
SafeWork SA and police are investigating the man’s death and Mulch N More is assisting them with their inquiries.
Police are also preparing a report for the Coroner.
