Knowles and Barker said they were pleased with the result and that all the hard work and months without a bathroom or sleeping during winter without walls had paid off.

“It feels like a weight has been lifted — no more cleaning or flowers,” Knowles said.

The couple said the were would be no time to holiday and instead would be getting on to their next project.

They said it would be in Melbourne, possibly Bayside or Boroondara areas.

Knowles told the Herald Sun previously that when they bought the house it was “lopsided” and had a 1970s vibe.

She said it has taken them about two years, on and off, to renovate the three-bedroom house.

It features a modern open-plan kitchen and living area that flows out to a semi-enclosed outdoor entertainment area with a fireplace and ceiling fan.

It was listed with a price guide of $1.35 million-$1.45 million.
